Our Mission
Supporting Animal Welfare
The Front Street Fundraising Foundation was established to raise funds in support of the City of Sacramento’s Front Street Animal Shelter. Funding helps provide critical care and resources for animals in the shelter’s care, while supporting programs that save and improve the lives of animals and people through medical care, adoption, rescue, education, and community outreach.
What Your Donation Supports
Emergency Medical Care
When animals arrive injured, sick, or neglected, they often need immediate treatment. Your donation helps provide surgeries, medications, diagnostic testing, and recovery support so they have a real chance at healing and adoption.
Spay and Neuter Services
Preventative care is critical to reducing shelter intake and improving long-term outcomes. Your support helps fund spay and neuter services that protect animals, reduce overpopulation, and strengthen the community.
Adoption and Enrichment Programs
A shelter animal’s journey doesn’t stop at intake. Donations help provide behavioral enrichment, training support, foster resources, and adoption programs that prepare animals for successful, permanent homes.

Meet Our Board
Our foundation is led by experienced community leaders and dedicated Front Street Animal Shelter volunteers who believe in hands-on service, responsible stewardship, transparency, and meaningful collaboration with the shelter. Each board member brings professional expertise and a deep personal commitment to improving outcomes for animals and the Sacramento community. The board includes President Patty Manako, Vice President Daniel Summers, Secretary Steve Shin, Treasurer David Garcia, and Board Members Tanya Lechner and Amanda Duncan.
